ABOUT THE SALAM INSTITUTE

What We Do:

Salam is a nonprofit organization for research, education, and practice on issues related to conflict resolution, nonviolence, human rights and development with a focus on bridging differences between Muslim and non Muslim communities. The Institute has extensive experience directing projects focused on interfaith and intercultural dialogue, peacebuilding, conflict resolution, sustainable development, conflict resolution and community development in Muslim countries. Additionally, Salam Institute staff has conducting trainings in regions as diverse as Israel, West Bank and Gaza, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Mindanao Philippines, Africa and Balkans, among others.
